Neanuntate
Street poetry happenning, Busteni residency, RO, 2006
Neanuntate is a street poetry happening realised in Romania as the country was entering Europe.
During a residency in Busteni, Romania i observed the rivers with a great interest for the left overs / trash droppings. Among the washed out objects many tires lay to rest. I picked one of those and engraved the word “neanuntate” (unannounced, unpredictable) in the rubber the other way around. At the end of the residency, the tire was rolled along, printing the word on the roads. Finally it was brought back to the river and left standing on a central island.
Questioning the consequences of Europe’s enlargement.
